Queenie Tsao joined Finsbury Asia in September 2011 as one of the founding members of the regional operation. Queenie brings with her more than seventeen years PR experience in advising local, regional and global companies at different stages of their business development cycles in Asia. She specialises in transaction advisory (M&A and IPO), issues management and large corporate strategic advisory, with a particular focus on the financial services sector. Clients include: universal banks (HSBC, OCBC / OCBC Wing Hang Bank, DBS, ICBC Asia and SHK Financial), investment banks (BoAML, Haitong International, BTG Pactual and CommerzBank), commercial banks (ING and BNY Mellon), private banks (UBP / Coutts, Bank of Singapore and JP Morgan Private Bank), sovereign entity (Qatar Investment Authority), asset managers (BlackRock, AllianzGI, Aberdeen, Barings, Investec, AllianceBernstein, GSAM and PineBridge), alternative investment managers (AGIC, Hony Capital, PAG, Samena Capital, Cinven, Highbridge and Limetree Capital), brokers (Charles Schwab and Saxo), insurers (AIA, Aviva, Prudential and MSIG), credit rating agencies (Moody’s and Dagong), payments solutions and Fintech / technology players (VISA, Alibaba and WeLab) as well as professional services firms (AlixPartners, HSF, Jones Day and Debevoise & Plimpton). Past projects include the management of the post-crisis AIA/AIG situation and subsequently AIA’s IPO, Sinopec/China Gas hostile takeover situation, OCBC’s acquisition of Hong Kong’s Wing Hang Bank, Qatar Investment Authority’s serial acquisitions in Asia e.g. Lifestyle International and Asia Square, post-merger communications for financial institutions including BlackRock, BNY Mellon, Union Bancaire Privée and Barings, region-wide media analysis for Goldman Sachs AM and BoAML, SHK Financial’s minibond issue, as well as regional economic and investment summits for MNCs including BlackRock, AllianzGI, Barings, OCBC and HSBC, etc.. Queenie graduated from the University of Hong Kong School of Law in 2001. She is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
