Gladys joined Finsbury in 2013 with extensive experience advising corporate on reputation, M&A and crisis management. She has a decade of experience in financial journalism focused on banking, asset management and energy news. Her past and current clients include global asset managers/PE (BlackRock, Investec Asset Management, Aberdeen, Legal & General Investment Management, Europa Capital, Investec Wealth & Investment), banks (Bank of Singapore, UBP/Coutts, ICBC(Asia)) governmental bodies (Qatar Investment Authority, HM Revenue & Customs, Mayor of Moscow), listed-companies (Quintain Estates and Development, Sun Hung Kai Properties, SmarTone), medical firms (Boehringer Ingelheim, Virtus Medical) and professional bodies (Institution of Engineering and Technology, Law Society) and which stretch from the UK through Russia to East Asia. She advised in Qatar Investment Authority’s acquisition of Lifestyle International, OCBC’s acquisition of Wing Hang Bank and post communications of Union Bancaire Privée’s purchase of Coutts as well as Bank of Singapore’s acquisition of Barclays’ wealth and management business in HK/Singapore. She is also a media and reputation trainer. Previously she was a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford for which she received a Chevening Scholarship, Gladys holds an MSc in Regulation (Distinction) with a focus on financial and environmental regulations from the London School of Economics. She is currently a committee member of Finsbury Academy, which develops training within the organisation. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
