Kyota Narimatsu is a Principal and Co-President of Finsbury Japan. With over 30 years of experience working in financial services and 15 years of corporate communications role in Japan, Kyota provides strategic advice on capital market and crisis communications. Prior to joining Finsbury in 2016, he was Head of Corporate Communications at Barclays Japan. He also worked for Russell Investments where he was Head of Marketing Communications for Japan, Korea and China. Before that, Kyota was Director of Corporate Affairs at Standard & Poor's in Japan. Kyota started his professional career at The Sumitomo Bank (now SMBC) predominantly in the Bank’s Corporate Planning Department, where he was responsible for the financial accounting of the Bank's international and capital market business. Kyota is a graduate of Keio University with a BA in Law (Politics) and has an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business with a special focus on strategy. Since 2012, he has served as the President of the Chicago Booth Alumni Club of Japan.
